CAPITAL OF CULTURE LAUNCHES WITH USL

USL will be appearing with Liverpool's musical greats on Friday 11th and Saturday 12th January as the city celebrates the launch of Capital of Culture 2008.

Friday 11th will see USL playing on the roof of St Georges Hall with RINGO STARR, whilst the roof tops around Lime Street will be lit up with performers and pyrotechnics. The show will be amazing and 25000 people are expected to be there. It will be broadcast live via BBC Radio Merseyside's web site too for those who can't make it on the day.

On Saturday 12th USL are appearing as part of "Liverpool - The Musical" at the brand new Echo Arena at the Kings Dock. The show features Ringo, the Wombats, Echo and the Bunnymen, Shack, the RLPO and many more.

It's really great to be involved with these two events, and we're really looking forward to kick starting 2008 with a bang. Literally.

There should also be coverage of both nights on BBC 2's Culture Show to be screened at 10 pm on Sunday 13th.
